We all want victory. We cheer when our heroes win, but too often we turn on them when they stumble. This weekend’s sports results reminded me: no one wins all the time.

Dricus stepped into the arena, gave his all, and faced an opponent with a single goal: to win. And he did. That’s sport. That’s life.

Yet instead of standing taller, too many voices chose to cancel, to criticize, to blame. But real supporters don’t walk away when the scoreboard doesn’t shine their way.

Think about it: if we judged our children harshly every time they didn’t come first, or scored less than 100%, what kind of world would we be creating?

True support means standing behind our stars in triumph and in defeat. It means looking in the mirror and saying: I am fair. I am loyal. I believe in them.

Come on, South Africa. Let’s rise above cancel culture. True supporters don’t give up on their champions. We lift them higher.
