We’ve been busy with a revised business plan. I asked my team to think about their futures—where they see themselves at certain points in time. Consider six months, one year, and then five years from now.

It was surprisingly difficult to visualize the future.

Why is that?
Is it because we live in such complex times?
Or have we simply lost the ability to dream?

Some of the team were able to visualize themselves as part of a winning team. Others saw it as a numbers game—how much money, how many children, how many milestones.

But the real lesson from our planning was this: we must learn to share our vision.

First, picture your future in full colour.
Who is in it?
What are you all doing?
Where are you doing it?
When do you want it done by?
Why are you doing it?
And how do you plan to accomplish it?

This, my friends, is your big picture.
This is your game plan.

Be bold. Dream big. Make it happen.
